Review of George Thomas Palliative Care Team written by
10th March 2016

I have no comments whatsoever, the palliative care team at St George Hospice, Whitchurch are so pleasurable to be with and help in every way their organisational skills and care are second to none. I hope this doesn't read too over the top because it is genuinely meant.

I am very pleased with the care from the palliative team they are very helpful, caring and supportive. I would recommend them to others. I don't give 10 out of 10, I give 20 out of 20.

All support given to my dad, and my family through dad's illness has been exemplary. We feel very blessed that we had such caring, professionals looking out for us, we could not have asked for more from anyone. Thank you.

The whole team was excellent in particular the two GP, Drs Das and Lee from Woodlands surgery provided and level of service we would not have thought possible. The contact with the George Thomas team was short because our own died within days of referral but we were perfectly satisfied with the service we received. It was professional, compassionate and fully appropriate.

My husband John Phillips died four weeks ago. From the moment he was referred to your palliative care team we were given expert advice and support . Your nurse, Allen dealt with all his needs in a very respectful manner. He chose his team well when explaining possible outcomes, he was someone you felt you could confide in when. I came to bring the money we had collected to George Thomas Center I saw his happy Couper Van and it made me smile on a very dark day. Thank you Allen.

I can't praise the team enough. Everything they said they would organize they did quickly. It far exceeded my expectations I now look forward to working with my father's case worker.
